Micha Perek 7
-
With this perek we finish the seven perakim of Micha. We will be starting Nachum next.
-
Micha laments the fact that he is among the few tzadikim in the generation. (most meforshim)
-
Micha compares himself to the “last grapes on the tree”. Again, a reference to the small number of righteous people in the generation.
-
The gist of Micha’s lament is that pious people have disappeared and the nation has increased their evil deeds.
-
“The nation has become immoral. But I, Micha, trust only in you, Hashem!”
-
In the future, B’nei Yisrael will confess they were indeed punished for their sins because they rebelled against God.
-
God says regarding Am Yisrael and the final redemption: “I will show you wondrous things, like those that I did at the time you went out of the land of Egypt”.
-
The nations of the world will be left dumbfounded and will fear God.
-
“God, who is like You, Who forgives and overlooks misdeeds, calms easily and loves kindness?”
-
God will fulfill His word that he promised to Yaakov and Avraham.
