About Nach Daily

The Story of Nach Daily

I never thought I would have the Zechus of teaching Nach to the thousands. If I can do it, then you can too! As Rav Nosson of Breslov was regular to say “even a small guy can make a big fire!”

I had originally taken on learning Nach after I moved back to NY more than 10 years ago from Eretz Yisrael. At that time I had in mind to finish it one time as gratitude to Hashem for letting me live in Eretz Yisrael. Little did I know learning Nach would be my preoccupation for many years to come.

At my first siyum on Nach, Rabbi Mordechai Groner, the Rosh HaYeshiva of Ateres Shimon, bursted with excitement and shouted out “Shaya, you are going to start Nach Daily!” At that time I shut it down immediately. As I felt who I am I do do such a thing. I had only learnt it one time.

In the interim, I had fallen in love with learning Nach and had completed it several times. I could no longer ignore Rabbi Groners monthly phone calls to start Nach Daily and acquiesced.

Nach Daily was born! And the rest is history. Learning Nach has deeply connected me to Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael. It’s my wish that with these classes you can learn Nach too. As each class has been created in a user friendly way. Making the most challenging of prophecies clear and concise.

I would also like to publicly thank Rabbi Ilan Ginian from The Navi Journey, who’s encouragement, excitement and guidance has been invaluable to me throughout the creation of Nach Daily. Rabbi Ginian is the only person I know who I can call in the middle of the night and ask a random question in sefer Yirmiya and who will actually know the answer!

Another thank you to Pinny Rosenbaum who prepared, posted and sent every email and Whatsapp. Without Pinny not a single class would have been sent!
