Micha Perek 6

• God charges Micha with the mission of calling the mountains and earth to bear witness to God’s word. Meforshim explain that the mountains and earth refer to the three Avos and the four Emahos.

• Micha rebukes the nation for not having gratitude to God for all of the good that He has done for them:

• “God took us out of Egypt. He gave us the great leaders Moshe, Aharon and Miriam. And he thwarted Bil’am’s curse.

• “God does not need all your sacrifices!

• “God wants you to keep His word and serve Him with utter joy and great simplicity.

• “How can you ask for forgiveness when you still commit sins?

• “I, God, will destroy you!

• “You continue to follow in the ways of the evil king Achav, whose father Omri originally increased the idol worship in the land.”
