Yonah Perek 3

· Yonah again received prophesy from God to reproach the people of Ninveh for their sins and to instruct them to do teshuvah.

· Yonah travelled three days to reach Ninveh, and another day to enter deep into the city.

· Yonah called out: “In another forty days Ninveh will be overturned!”

· Immediately the people of Ninveh started doing teshuvah.

· When the king of Ninveh heard about this, he changed his royal clothing for sackcloth, and declared a public fast day with prayer.

· God revoked the heavenly judgment to destroy Ninveh.
