• This perek is a negative prophecy against Efraim.

• “You continue to worship idols despite the goodness I have given you.

• “Money has no power. Stop worshiping gold and silver!”

• The nation needs to trust in God, who is the only true source of life.

• God took Yisrael out of Egypt and provided them with tremendous good.

• The nation has become arrogant from all the good that they received and they didn’t serve Hashem.

• God is going to punish Efraim with a plague.

• Efraim will be obliterated.
