Yechezkel Perek 38

• This perek discusses the war of Gog u’Magog which will take place during the time of Mashiach.

No one understands what this prophecy means as its meaning was hidden even from the great prophets who prophesied about it. (Rambam, hilchos melachim 12:12)

• Yechezkel was commanded to prophesy against Gog from the land Magog.

• “Gog, I, God, am going to draw you out before all of the nations of the world to have you killed.

• You and your great armies will try to attack Am Yisrael once they have settled and rebuilt Eretz Yisrael.

• You will hover over Eretz Yisrael like a cloud at a time when My nation is living there securely.

• The entire world is going to join you.

• But you should know that I devised this plan long ago to unleash my vengeance upon you.”

• Gog will be defeated before the entire world, which will be a huge sanctification of God’s name.

• The fish, birds, insects, mankind and the entire face of the earth will tremble.

• Mountains, cliffs, and walls will crumble.

• God will cause fire and hail to rain on Gog.

• “You will know that I am God.”
