Yechezkel Perek 28

• This perek opens with a lament for the city of Tyre.

• This prophecy is specifically about Chiram, the king of Tyre, who helped Shlomo Hamelech build the Beis Hamikdash.

• The navi relates how great and exalted the king of Tyre was before he became full of arrogance and started to believe that he was God.

• The residents of Tyre will die a horrible death.

• Yechezkel received a prophecy which related the destruction of the city of Sidon.

• In the times of Mashiach God will bring His scattered nation to Eretz Yisrael.

• Note: many of these prophecies regarding the ingathering of the exiles have already begun to be fulfilled in our life time.

• “When the nation returns they will build houses, plant vineyards and settle the land!

• “They will dwell securely in their land.”

• God will exact judgment from the nations of the world and they will know that He is God.
