• Dovid and his men were traveling at the rear of the Plishti camp to go to war with King Shaul’s army.

Dovid had gained the trust of King Achash to the point Achash wanted Dovid to fight along side of him.

• Other Plishti generals related they do not want Dovid to fight on their side =and Dovid is not to be trusted.

• Achash defended Dovid.

• Achash “excused” Dovid from battle.

• Dovid “reluctantly” accepted.

• Dovid was dismissed from battle and returned home with his men.
