Shmuel I Perek 10

• Shmuel anointed Shaul privately as the King of Yisrael.

• Shmuel related to Shaul 3 signs that will transpire through out the day. This way Shaul will know the appointment as King of Yisrael is from Hashem. Each sign occurred. They were: 1) Shaul will run into three men who tell Shaul don’t worry about your lost donkeys. 2) Shaul will encounter three men who will give Shaul presents. 3) Shaul will attain prophecy.

• The local prophets were astounded at Shaul receiving prophecy.

• Shaul’s uncle inquired as to where Shaul had been all this time. Shaul humbly kept quiet and did not reveal his secret to uncle.

• Shmuel publicly announced Shaul as the King of Yisrael in front of the entire nation.

• Most of Yisrael accepted Shaul as their leader. However, there were some detractors who were skeptical about Shaul being the king.
