Shmuel I Perek 9

• Shaul from the tribe of Binyamin went searching for his father Kish’s lost donkeys.

• Prior to giving up his search, Shaul’s attendant related they were approaching a city that had a prophet (Shmuel) and it would be fitting to ask him where the lost donkeys are.

• The attendant persuaded Shaul to travel to the city and seek the prophet.

• People of the city were waiting for Shmuel to bring his daily sacrifice in order to eat.

• Prior to Shaul arriving, Hashem has told Shmuel a man of great stature will be coming to your city tomorrow.

• Shmuel identified Shaul as the man Hashem was referring to.

• Shmuel prepared a large feast and sat Shaul as the head of the table.

• Shmuel hinted to Shaul that Shaul will be King of Yisrael

• Shaul spent the whole night in conversation with Shmuel on a roof.

• Shmuel told Shaul to send his attendant home.
