Yeshaya Perek 48

• Yeshaya tells the members of Binyamin and Yehudah to stop swearing falsely in the name of Hashem.

• The Jewish people and their land bear the same name, Yisrael. ( Eretz Yisrael and Klal Yisrael are only truly considered one when they are joined as a unit. Am Yisrael outside of Eretz Yisrael isn’t truly considered one with their land.)

• Yeshaya continues to relate: “ I know Yisrael is a stubborn people. I have foretold the redemption long before it has even happened.”

• Hashem will restrain his anger at Yisrael.

• “I, Hashem, am the First, from prior to creation, and the Last, when creation will cease to exist.

• “If you would only have kept My Torah and followed in My ways, you (Yisrael) would have been redeemed.

• “Leave your foreign lands and return to Me in Eretz Yisrael.”
