Yeshaya Perek 35

• This perek describes more events that will take place in the times of Mashiach.

• The desert will start to blossom and be fruitful.

• “The blind will see and the deaf will hear.”

• Most meforshim learn that this is not meant to be taken literally. However Medresh Tanchuma in Parshas Vayigash does take it literally!

• Water will start to appear in the desert.

• There will be a “Derech Hakodesh” – holy path – by which to enter Yerushalayim. Anyone who is impure will not be allowed to walk on this path.

• The people of Yisrael, who were redeemed from exile by Hashem, will return to Eretz Yisrael, singing with eternal happiness, and all grief and sighing will cease.
