Yeshaya Perek 33

Note: As we have mentioned throughout NachDaily, the difficulty with Sefer Yeshaya specifocally, and Neveim Achronim in general, is the multiple layers and meanings of the pesukim and to what they are referring. It’s beyond the scope of NachDaily to capture all of the subtle details that need to be understood.

• Metsudos, Rashi: this perek is referring to Sancheriv and Chizkiyahu.

• Radak: this perek is referring to Mashiach.

• Hashem will punish the perpetrators of evil because they harmed Yisrael during their lifetimes.

• Yeshaya related a prayer that Yisrael will sing. The gist of it is: “Hashem, give us the desire to serve You! And please be kind to us!”

• Yeshaya foretold: “Hashem will always be your support. Hashem will support you with wisdom and understanding. “Fear of Hashem” is His treasure.”

• The Navi described how Hashem will destroy Yisrael’s enemies.

• There will be reward for the honest, righteous people.

• Hashem will restore Yerushalayim’s splendor.

• Yisrael’s eyes will see the beauty of the King.
