Yeshaya Perek 25

• This perek starts with Yeshaya’s song of thanks to Hashem for all the good that Hashem will do for Yisrael after the war of Gog uMagog, in the times of Mashiach.

• “Thank You Hashem! Your wondrous, amazing plans have been fulfilled!” Radak: Yeshaya is referring to Hashem’s fulfillment of all the prophecies throughout the generations.

• In gratitude – “Hashem you destroyed the cities of our enemies, never to be rebuilt.”

• When Mashiach comes, a huge feast will be eaten on Mount Tzion.

• Death will be obliterated forever. According to the Radak, only death through unnatural causes will be eliminated. However, the natural process of aging and dying will still remain. According to Rashi and Metzudos, all forms of death will be obliterated from Am Yisrael.

• On that day the people will say, “This is our Hashem in whom we hoped and trusted.” Everyone will rejoice.

• The navi describes how the nation of Moav, albeit completely integrated with the other foreign nations of the world, will be singled out and humbled.
