• Tzefania directs both Yisrael and the surrounding nations to do teshuva.

• Tzefania warns them of impending doom.

• “Examine yourselves. Check yourselves to make sure that you don’t have any sins.

• “Humble yourselves. Lower yourselves to God.”

• God is going to return the Philistine land, including the cities of Ashkelon and Ekron, to Yisrael.

• Eventually God will remember His nation and allow Yisrael to resettle Ashkelon.

• God will treat Amon and Moav like S’dom and Gemorah, turning their land into wasteland.

• God will “raise His hand” against Ashur and destroy it.
