Yirmiya askes Hashem: “Why do the righteous suffer and the wicked prosper?”

Yirmiya affirms his commitment to Hashem despite his lack of understanding.

Hashem encourages Yirmiya to stay strong in his mission and to not be deterred by either the gentile or Jewish false leaders and false prophets.

Hashem laments that He is abandoning the Beis Hamikdash, Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael. (Ma’am Loez)

Hashem will temporarily punish the neighboring lands of Eretz Yisrael, but will then restore them, providing that they learn from “My children.”
