Yirmiya Perek 25

Yirmiya received this prophecy in the fourth year of King Yehoyakim’s reign.

Hashem relates how He spoke to Yirmiya for 23 years and yet no one ever listened to a word.

Hashem wants the nation to return to Him, but it seems that no one cares!

Hashem will send His “servant” Nevuchadnetzar to destroy Yerushalayim and its residents.

After 70 years of Yisrael being in exile, Hashem will then pour His wrath on Nevuchadnezar and the nations of the world.

Yirmiya was instructed to deliver God’s message to about sixteen different kings, nations and places.

“The nations of the world will drink from My cup of wine – wrath. They will become completely intoxicated, drunk, and they will vomit. I will destroy them!” Note: Abarbanel learns that Yirmiya was shown these nations in a prophetic vision and didn’t actually visit them.

Yirmiya relates God’s greatness and how He will wreak havoc on the nations of the world.
