Baruch carried out Yirmiya’s orders and caught the attention of a person named Michoyhu ben Gemaryahu.
Michoyhu told the other officers about the message that he had heard at the event that had transpired.
Baruch was then brought to read the scroll for the officers.

The officers instructed Baruch to go into hiding with Yirmiya while they read the message to do teshuvah to King Yehoyakim.
Some time elapsed until the scroll was read to the king.
King Yehoyakim tore up the scroll and burned it in the fire pit.
Yirmiya and Baruch were not found by the royal guards because they were in hiding.
Hashem instructed Yirmiya to dictate a new scroll to Baruch.
