Yirmiya Perek 44

In this perek Hashem sends Yirmiya a harsh prophecy of rebuke about the remnant of Yehudah who had moved to Egypt.

The destruction which Hashem brought upon Yerushalayim will be brought upon Egypt.

Hashem constantly sent prophets to rebuke Am Yisrael, but they didn’t listen!

“You are a disgrace among all the nations!”

Am Yisrael responded to Hashem stubbornly and replied that they would continue their false ways and their idol worship.

Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, will be killed by his enemies as a sign for Yisrael to know that Hashem’s word had come true.
