Yirmiya Perek 49

This perek lists several nations and countries and describes their downfall.

The nations and countries addressed in this perek are: Amon, Edom, Damesek, Keidar and the kingdoms of Chatsor and Eilom.

Hashem will wipe out and destroy these countries.

Note: Hashem is not cruel and doesn’t punish for punishment’s sake. Hashem is constantly guiding and bringing the world to its final tikkun/rectification, as the Beis Hamikdash was not only for the Jewish people but it was for the nations of the world, as well, as it says, “My house is a house of prayer for the nations of the world.”
