• This perek relates God’s unlimited love for His nation.

• “I loved you since you were a child.

• “I sent you great prophets as a kindness to you to help you mend your ways.

• “You are dear to me and I drew you close to Me with compassion.

• “However, you failed to listen to My word. You will therefore be exiled.”

• If the nation would do teshuva they would be taken out of exile.
