Shmuel I Perek 12

• Shmuel gathered Yisrael together to give “resignation” speech. Note: Shmuel was still involved with leading Yisrael. However, here he was handing over the reigns of leadership to Shaul.

• Shmuel related serving Yisrael his whole life and not taking personal “favors” either financially or through honor.

• Yisrael affirmed faith in Shmuel.

• Shmuel related the goodness Hashem has done for Yisrael by sending them great leaders over their history. Leaders highlighted were: Moshe, Aharon, Devorah, Barak, Gideon, Yiftach and Shmuel.

• Shmuel rebuked Yisrael for the request of a King.

• Shmuel caused a thunderstorm to inspire Yisrael to fear Hashem.

• Shmuel gave the nation words of encouragement that Hashem will never leave the Jewish nation.
