Bullet Point Summary

Yechezkel Perek 19

Note: This is just a recounting of the pesukim as they appear.

  • This perek is a kinah, a lament of Yechezkel over the loss of the kings of Yehudah.

  • There was a lioness from Yehudah who taught her cubs to destroy anything in their sight.

  • One of the cubs was captured and thrown into a pit.

  • However a second cub had become so strong that the sound of his roar alone would destroy anything in its path. But the other lions teamed up to capture and kill him.

  • The Navi compares Am Yisrael to a plant that was to blossom and flourish. But in the end the plant just withered, was destroyed and was set on fire.
