Yechezkel Perek 24

• On the 10th of Teves a siege will be laid on Yerushalayim.

• Yerushalayim and its residents are compared to a pot with meat cooking in it. The meat (Yisrael) will be completely cooked and burned in the pot (Yerushalayim).

• Yerushalayim will be destroyed with its residents.

• Yechezkel’s “delight” (meaning his wife) died as sign to the nation that the “delight of the world”, the Beis Hamikdash, will be destroyed.

• Yechezkel was commanded not to mourn for his wife.

• On the day when the Beis Hamikdash will be destroyed the nation will be dumbfounded and unable to speak.
