Yechezkel Perek 33

• God recharged Yechezkel with his mission to be the “watchman” of the nation.

• Hashem held Yechezkel personally responsible and accountable for delivering His word.

• Yechezkel urged the nation to do teshuvah and come close to God.

• “God doesn’t desire to punish people. He prefers that people do teshuvah.

• “God isn’t petty or cruel. His Judgement is perfectly fair.

• “God holds both the tzadik and the rasha equally accountable for their good and bad deeds.”

• A messenger came to tell Yechezkel about the destruction of the Yerushalayim.

• Yechezkel was speechless until Hashem sent him a prophecy.

• Yerushalayim was destroyed because of immorality, idol worship and bloodshed.

• The navi relates how the nation didn’t take Yechezkel’s words seriously and would mock and ridicule him behind his back.
