Yechezkel Perek 34

• The shepherds of Am Yisrael did not do their jobs of leading the sheep. Metsudos explains that the shepherds refer to the leaders of the Jewish nation. The sheep refer to Am Yisrael.

• False leaders were rampant throughout the nation.

• The sheep lacked the proper shepherds. Therefore they were scattered into exile.

• God will gather His flock of sheep from around the world and bring them back to their good pastures.

• God, the Master Shepherd, is going to return His nation to Eretz Yisrael.

• There will be an ingathering of the exiles. Note: We are currently living through the beginning this!

• God is going to search for all of His “lost sheep” and bring every single member of Am Yisrael back to Eretz Yisrael.

• Am Yisrael will live securely and safely in their land.

• “I will designate a shepherd for them from the house of David.”

• Am Yisrael will no longer experience shame.

• The land will give forth its blessing.
