Bullet Point Summary

Yechezkel Perek 48 – the Siyum Perek.

With this perek we finish Sefer Yechezkel and the entire Nevi’im Achronim! Thank you, Hashem, for allowing us to complete this awesome task of learning the entire Nevi’im Achronim! We started with the 66 perakim of Sefer Yeshaya, learned about the great navi Yeshaya, the prophet of comfort, how Yeshaya gave consolation to Am Yisrael, the ingathering of the exiles, the rebuilding of Eretz Yisrael and Yerushalayim, and what the world will look like in the times of Mashiach, the ultimate redemption when all death will end forever, and how the revelation of God will permeate the entire creation.

Then we learned about the great navi Yirmiya, 52 Perakim, the prophet of doom, who prophesied about the destruction of the Beis Hamikdash. Yirmiya gave every last ounce of energy he had to delivering the word of God in an unpopular time. We learned about Yirmiya’s dedication to truth, and how Yirmiya was ridiculed, shamed, thrown in jail and was almost killed by the people of his generation.

Now, we finished 48 perakim of Sefer Yechezkel, the prophet of strength! We learned how God is with us even in exile, the Ma’aseh Merkavah / vision of the chariot, how the “dry bones” of am Yisrael will gather, come back to life, and return to Eretz Yisrael, and the awesome vision of the third Beis Hamikdash when Yechezkel was lifted beyond the confines of time and space and shown exactly what the third Beis Hamikdash will look like in all its glory.

NachDaily would like to thank all of its listeners and subscribers from around the globe as we join in our own mini “Kibbutz Golios – joining of the exiles” to learn the words of the greatest, most elevated prophets ever to walk the earth.

Let our daily learning of Navi be a tefilah to Hashem, that God’s ultimate compassion be aroused. Let our words and desires go up to Hashem like the sweetest of sacrifices brought upon the altar. Let God look down upon his nation who has suffered enough from exile and their lacking the feeling that they can connect. Let God’s compassion override His anger, with the sweetening of judgment for the entire world, when the Healing Waters Yechezkel described will begin to flow from the third Beis Hamikdash and all of Am Yisrael will be united under one banner, when division will no longer separate His nation, when a shoot will sprout from the house of Yishai and the spirit of God will rest on him – a spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, courage, knowledge, and fear of God, when the wolf will be in harmony with lamb, the leopard with goat… with the revelation of Mashiach, when no harm or damage will be found on “My Holy Mountain”, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God, as waters cover the seas. (Yeshaya 11)

  • This perek finishes Yechezkel’s vision of the third Beis Hamikdash.

  • It describes the futuristic boundaries of Eretz Yisrael and how it will be divided for each tribe, and how each tribe will have its own gate to exit the holy city of Yerushalayim.
