Yeshaya Perek 10

• Yeshaya expresses sorrow over the difficulty that many will have when Sancheriv, king of Ashur, devastates Yehudah.

• Grief is destined for those who write “evil” documents and exploit the poor in their times of need, for their own financial or emotional gain.

• To whom will they turn in their time of need?

• Hashem expresses grief over the fact that He’s only using Sancheriv as a rod to hit Yisrael. Sancheriv, however, is completely unaware of this. He is full of haughtiness and believes that he will defeat Yisrael through his own military prowess.

• After Hashem punishes Yisrael, He will then punish Sancheriv for actually devastating Yisrael on his own behalf.

• On that day, after the devastation, a small remnant of Jewish survivors will truly rely on Hashem.

• Hashem tells those people, “Do not fear, because I will take care of the impending battle.”

• The army of Ashur advanced towards Yerushalayim.

• Yeshaya prophesied that Hashem would cut down the forest, and expose the army of Ashur therein.
