Yeshaya Perek 63

Note: Perek 63 is a prophecy about the destruction of Edom.

• Edom, who was filled with bloodshed, has stained Hashem’s clothing with his blood.

• The time of the redemption has come.

• Hashem will strike Edom down with vengeance.

• Hashem has done tremendous kindnesses with Yisrael since the beginning of time.

• Hashem was personally pained by Yisrael’s suffering.

• Yisrael rebelled against Hashem, but Hashem remembered His faithful shepherd, Moshe, and the splitting of the sea.

• Yeshaya prays for Hashem to shine down His kindness on His nation: “Hashem, look down from heaven and see the suffering of Yisrael. Why do you allow us to not do your will? Our hearts have become hardened and we are scared of You! We built a home for You (the Beis Hamikdash) but it was short-lived, as it was destroyed by Your enemies. Please, open up the heavens and reveal Yourself to Your wonderful nation, Yisrael!
