Yirmiya Perek 22

Yirmiya rebukes the king of Yehuda.

Hashem wants the king to be kind and honest with the poor, stranger, orphan and widow.

King Yehoyakim, son of Yosheah, will be punished for his evil ways.

What was King Yehoyakim thinking when he built himself an elaborate house? Can a fancy dwelling save him?!

King Yehoyakim will die a horrible death, like a donkey who drags a person’s corpse through the streets.

King Yehoyachin will also be punished and die because he is not trustworthy.
