Bullet Point Summary

Yirmiya Perek 24

Hashem shows Yirmiya a vision of two baskets of figs – a good basket and a rotten basket – in front of the Beis Hamikdash.

The good basket of figs represents how Hashem will be with the Torah scholars who are currently in exile, because they try to keep Hashem’s Torah.

Hashem will accept their teshuvah if they try to come close to Him with all their heart.

The rotten basket represents King Tzidkiyahu and the residents of Yerushalayim who fail to keep Hashem’s Torah.

The residents of Yerushalayim will be punished and destroyed.
