Yirmiya Perek 4

A call to Yisrael to do teshuva before it’s too late.

Serve Hashem with honesty, whole-heartedness, and sincerity.

Hashem is going to send a “lion” (Nevuchadnezar) from up north to turn the land into waste.

Yirmiya says, “You, Hashem, have promised peace, but now you’re bringing destruction!”

A “strong wind” will destroy Yerushalayim.

Yirmiya personally laments the impending destruction.

Yrimiya relates: “My innards are filled with pain.”

Eretz Yisrael will be turned into wasteland with no form. The heavens and the earth will be darkened.

Tzion will scream like a woman in labor.
