The streets of Yerushalayim have been abandoned.

Hashem has sent Yisrael pain and suffering in order to bring Yisrael to do teshuva, but Yisrael has failed to listen to the message.

Yirmiya was shocked at the brazenness of the false leaders and false prophets.

A “lion” (Nevuchadnetzar) will wreak havoc on Yerushalayim.

Yisrael committed “adultery” by serving other gods.

“Why did Hashem exile Yisrael from Eretz Yisrael? Because they served other gods on their land.”

The residents of Yehuda in Yerushalayim have acted foolishly.

The people have impure hearts.

They’ve become so wealthy that they have forgotten about Hashem!

The nation is filled with false leaders.
