Yirmiyah Perek 9

A prophecy about the destruction of Eretz Yisrael:

Hashem prefers to distance Himself from the nation, as they are filled with falsehood. (MaHari Kra)

The nation has become dishonest.

Hashem will “refine” Yisrael through severe punishment. (Metsudos: Suffering cleans a person’s soul.)

Hashem will cry over the wasteland.

Yisrael has left Hashem’s Torah.

“Let the women mourn over the loss that will take place.”

Death and corpses will fill the land.

“Trust in Hashem, Who is the only true savior, as physical objects and mental prowess have no ability to save a person.”

Hashem will punish the uncircumcised nations of the world, of whom Yisrael is a part.
