• A plague of locusts will swarm the land.

• There will be four different types of locusts – gazam, arbeh, yelek and chassil.

• The plague will be like nothing anyone has ever seen before!

• The locusts will to cause a famine. After their descent onto the land no crops or grain will remain!

• Yoel calls the kohanim and levi’im to dress in sackcloth and do teshuvah.

• The devastation will be so bad that even the animals will cry out to God.
